This session teaches leaders how to bring teams together, to improve productivity, to focus on behavior and not attitudes, to deal with facts and not opinions, and to create a climate of open communication. It's a fact that more than 50 percent of all professionals who hold management positions still act like individual contributors, not managers. An additional 25 percent of all managers are stuck between the roles of individual contributor and manager and seem unable to move fully into the manager-leader role. The person most influential in the motivation of employees is the supervisor or team leader, followed by co-workers, support personnel, higher management, and the organization itself, i.e. structure, policies, and systems. This session will help new leaders improve communication, increase productivity, promote self-awareness and acceptance of differences, enhance individual and team performance, and reduce conflict.
