Speaker will spend the majority of time on the third component so that audience members gain specific information that they can take home and apply. Global Application: Because ASTD always draws a global audience, speaker will elaborate on aspects of the presentation to present global differences, global stay factors, and global costs of disengagement. Small Group Interaction: Dyads will discuss their answers to short provocative questions four times during the session. Each time they will be asked to talk about how a particular strategy is used in their own organization. Recent Research: Research from a variety of sources will be introduced to demonstrate the global and vital importance of this topic. Recent research from the speaker's own organization will also be shared.
