Following a brief overview of the research, participants will see video clips of leaders who display behavior that inspires – visually and interactively illustrating the key revelations within the study. The group will then be engaged in creative problem solving exercises with those sitting around them (smaller groups of 6-10). Exercises will focus on identifying new and innovative ways to help leaders acquire these requisite skills. Each small group will be assigned a specific element of the competency, ideas will be collected and synthesized, and the results will be made available to all attendees. Participants will also be provided examples of the presenter's solutions. The session will close with a brief dialogue on the business consequences of leaders who lack this inspirational quality versus those who excel in applying it. This session will be best supported by a room with round tables for group interaction activities. Overhead projector and speakers for sound will be needed.
