Magicians, just like education and training professionals, are asked to take subject matter experts (SMEs) with business and technical expertise and transform them into effective trainers or faculty members. The results of this magic act are often less than successful—precious training dollars are wasted, learners drop classes, and the organization loses the expertise of valuable staff members. In this session, popular ASTD Press author Lou Russell shows participants creative ways to improve SME training success. To demonstrate this magic, Lou will use the latest adult learning theory and ready-to-use content from her ASTD Press book Training Triage, which includes the use of Lou's unique ALOESME training model.
