SESSION ABSTRACT: This interactive session describes a step-by-step procedure for determining your organization?s e-learning business needs, writing an effective e-learning proposal, and evaluating vendors who respond to the Request for Proposal (RFP) fairly and objectively. Build your business acumen by learning about the E-Learning Business Acquisition Process (E-BAP). Learn methods and techniques used to successfully determine the right e-learning vendor for the right e-learning problem. You will learn how to navigate through the dizzying process of determining what e-learning solution is best for your organization and which vendor provides the best solution. In this hands-on session, you will take part in the ?mock? development of an e-learning Request for Proposal and learn what should be included and what should be excluded in your own organizations as well as e-learning proposals and evaluations of those proposals. The job aids, group exercise and opportunities for discussion will provide audience members with an opportunity to apply the skills learned in the session. LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Apply a step-by-step methodology for developing an E-Learning Request for Proposal. Develop explicit E-Learning RFP requirements which save your organization time and money. State e-learning needs in clear and concise terms which are understood by e-learning vendors.
