The Chief Learning Officer (CLO) is in a unique position to add tremendous value to an organization. A critical role of the CLO is to drive value and focus on issues such as business alignment, managing resources, developing ROI, and maintaining a customer focus. The challenge is to show value to the organization in terms that the business leaders and administrators can understand and appreciate. In this session, the speakers will discuss nine important areas making up this critical role of the CLO of the future: 1. Develop key strategies to create value with learning. 2. Set the appropriate level of investment in learning. 3. Align the learning enterprise to business needs. 4. Shift to performance improvement, away from exclusive learning and training solutions. 5. Design efficient and effective delivery strategies. 6. Develop productive business partnerships. 7. Manage the learning enterprise as a business. 8. Manage talent for business growth. 9. Demonstrate the value from a learning enterprise, including ROI. This session is for those involved in the role of the chief learning officer or those aspiring to that role. Learning Objectives - Develop a value-add role for the CLO using the major influences discussed. Use a range of actions to enhance the value of the learning enterprise. Improve at least five of nine important areas related to the CLO's critical role.
