What is the difference between lions and sheep? Lions make their own path; sheep follow the herd. Lions are the icon for courage, sheep for aimlessness. In this session, the speaker will reveal her eight-step method for becoming "You, The Actively Lion-Hearted." You will receive a handout containing three of her steps and complete two in this session. In Step 1: Recall Your Own Courage, you will name a courageous act in your life that required you to go beyond your everyday behavior. Once you identify it, you will be guided to study that act carefully. As you do, data will emerge. You will discover some compelling things about yourself-most importantly, how you personally prepare to look fear in the face. You will take home Step 3: You Already Have Your Own Formula to complete individually. It will guide you to uncover your personal formula-your own secret sauce-for courageous behavior. Then you will complete part of Step 6: Keep Good Company. This step will show you how to identify who is populating your life right now and their impact on your behavior. Make no mistake, the people in your life-the ones you allow to influence you-have a great impact on how courageous you become and how much you influence change in your world. If you surround yourself with people who live fearfully and small, you likely will do the same. If you choose people who strive to live courageously and big, you probably will, too. This session is your opportunity to emerge as "You, The Actively Lionhearted," equipped to undertake more and bigger daily acts of courage, at work and at home. You will leave with the tools to identify your personal courage formula and will want to play bigger in the world. Will you take that leap? Learning Objectives - Assess and increase your courageous behavior to take bigger leaps than you have before. Choose and tackle a situation in your life that you have previously been afraid to address. Develop a support and inspiration base from current and new associates.
