In this session, the speaker will share best practices from Caterpillar University in the areas of strategy, governance, metrics, and evaluation. You will hear how Caterpillar uses centralized learning processes in a decentralized business unit environment, and how it has established dual solid-line reporting with learning professionals in the business units. You also will hear about the use of the Board of Governors and College Advisory Boards. Plus, you will learn about alignment to business goals through the use of a Division Learning Plan for each business unit and through the creation of an Enterprise Learning Plan. Finally, you will hear about Caterpillar University's metrics to track learning against a plan, and about the Level 1-5 evaluation of learning, including specific examples of net dollar benefits and ROI.
