In this session, the speakers will show you how to use Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and deliver training programs. You will examine the model, methodology, ROI, and competency-building processes (using the ASTD 2004 Competency Study) needed to develop a cadre of SME trainers to use as adjunct faculty. You also will hear about the development of three different programs and what the results (pros and cons) of each program have been so far. You will be invited to network and share your questions and comments. The goal for the session is to establish a network for benchmarking and support so that you will walk away able to adapt the methodology and tools to fit your organization's quest for expanding the training department function through the use of SMEs as adjunct faculty. Learning Objectives - Apply the methodology to develop a SME adjunct faculty for your organization. Use elements of three models to develop appropriate competencies in SME adjunct faculty in your organization. Adapt tools to develop a SME adjunct faculty for your organization.
