In this interactive session, you will experience firsthand an innovative coaching model based on the highly successful Appreciative Inquiry change process used in organizations worldwide. This coaching approach is a new application of the four stages of Appreciative Inquiry to personal and professional development within individual coaching relationships. The appreciative stages of Discovery, Dream, Design, and Destiny move coaching clients from vision to action based on the principles of positive psychology and other holistic methodologies. In appreciative exchanges, participants practice four key steps in the Discovery Stage to focus on their positive experiences, strengths, and successes and to apply learnings to their desired futures (goals). Appreciative language and inquiry are key learnings in this session. The Appreciative Coaching model is grounded in a two-year research and writing project which has culminated in a forthcoming book.
