We all know that we live in a stressful world. It has gotten so hectic, so busy, that we are multitasking ourselves right out of the present moment, right out of our own joy and happiness. The World Health Organization calls stress our 21st-century epidemic. Reducing stress would save us time, money, pain, and worry. But most people feel they simply don't have the time, the money, or the discipline to do what it takes. So the question becomes, Is there a way to manage stress that I can easily integrate into my daily life that doesn't take more time or money or discipline than I can afford?" Research has shown that there are three key ingredients to a stress-resistant lifestyle. First, we need to learn to control our responses to life events. Second, we need to have a sense of commitment to something larger than ourselves: something like family, friends, faith, or service. And third, we need to treat stressors as opportunities to discover those hindrances within us that will continue to hold us back until we confront them. In this session, the speaker will teach you how to incorporate these three ingredients into your daily life. You will learn to transform conflict into opportunity and stress into vitality.
