What does psychological and physical health care mean to your company? The competitive pressures of the global market have obviously led to higher demands being made on managers and employees. Employees, in the long term, will be unable to withstand these pressures without suffering such negative health consequences as stress and its long-lasting results: burn-out, depression, anxiety disorders, violence and bullying, abuse and addiction, job resignation, and absenteeism. Companies must develop ways to lessen the pressure and protect their most valuable resources: the psychological and physical health and motivation of employees and the vitality of the corporate organization. By attending this session, you will be able to incorporate a holistic health management perspective into your work. You will be given a self-explanatory, model-supported, easy-to-interpret evaluation tool, psy.Risk--10 sources of multiple stressors at work. You will explore case studies of negative psychological strain at work and resultant disorders. In order to evaluate these consequences, you will be provided with checklists to screen the level of resulting and already visible illness and health disorders. You can interpret and use the checklists easily for your own unique situations. Consequently you will be able to assess psychologically unhealthy work situations and to explain to management the effects of stress-causing conditions on employees. You will also take with you psy.Res, a complex model for increasing psychological and physical health and vitality of an organization and its people. In its architecture, this model is a programmatic concept. Companies you advise can easily follow the included program to further develop their organization.
