Business and life coaching is becoming more popular for companies and people who want to become professional in coaching. Everybody seems to be qualified to be a coach. But is it so? What are the qualifications? How can you learn to become a coach? In the past three years, curriculum for business-coach training has been released in Europe by several national associations. The speakers have been working in these commissions to develop those guidelines and assure quality standards for training to become an executive, business, or life coach. The speakers' curriculum is used in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland; and by the INLPTA worldwide. Defining the abilities, knowledge, principles, and behaviors of a good coach is essential. As trainers and coaches from Germany and the U.S., the speakers have found that there are different approaches, definitions, and concepts about business coaches in different countries. They will explain the reasons and benefits of their findings and report on their experiences with that training structure in the past five years in Europe.
