India's Satyam Computer Services has experienced tremendous growth from 100 associates in 1992 to more than 50,000 associates in 60 countries today. Recognizing that the first year for new leaders (promoted or hired) is absolutely critical and with more than 1000 new leaders each year, Satyam developed a holistic, strategically aligned process that follows a four-stage space exploration theme to certify leaders: Fueling, Igniting, LiftOff, and Orbit. The process combines formal and informal learning through facilitated relationships, virtual learning, consultation, coaching, storytelling, action learning, experiential and classroom instruction. Of particular importance is the flexible design allowing for customization to meet the individual needs of leaders with diverse backgrounds and experiences. In this session, we will, together, explore all four stages.
